Is Shia LaBeouf Working On A ‘good kid, m.A.A.d city’ Short?
Back in December Kendrick sat down with GQ and stated that he wanted to work on a “short film” based on his hit debut album “good kid, m.A.A.d city.” Unfortunately, at that time he didn’t give any details….
Then in January he sat down with FUSE and stated that he was possibly working on a video project with Shia LaBeouf who was on the table, but due to conflicting schedules couldn’t lock anything down….
“We actually had a meeting, but our scheduled conflicted… Shia LaBeouf, he got a crazy creative mind, but once we really do sit down and lock in, it’s gonna be insane,” Kendrick said.
“He wanted to do a video, he had a few ideas… that was the time I was recording the album and going on the road, so I couldn’t really sit down for a period of time.”
So why Shia LeBeouf?? Well the kid has a history of making creative film projects with rappers and back in 2009 directed the music video for Cage’s “I Never Knew You,” and had plans for creating a movie about the underground rapper. Then in 2011, he created a film/music video starring Kid Cudi and Cage for the Man on the Moon II cut, “Maniac”.
