Kendrick Lamar Album – Lady Gaga

 

We are all expecting for Lady Gaga’s presence in Kendrick Lamar’s Good Kid, m.A.A.d. City to be released on October 22nd. Unfortunately, when the track list was released it looks like that Lady Gaga will not be on his album. Recently, it was confirmed that Lady Gaga is not on Lamar’s album for her own reason.

Here is the statement from Lady Gaga’s tumblr:

“I apologize to the fans that this situation with Partynausous is confusing. To it clear it up I must explain this. When I collaborate with an artist i work solely with them, not with their camps or management. Its purely organic and creative. I love Kendrick dearly as a friend, but was not willing to compromise musically to the changes his team was making to my music. This is why I am not [on] his record. I have a very specific vision as a producer and songwriter, and I always have. That song will be released at a different time, for a different project. I love you, and think you should check out his stuff because he is truly great. He’s a good kid, its just sometimes a mad city. -LG”

Well, even though it is such a waste that Lady Gaga is not in Kendrick’s newest album, we just need to respect her decision and belief.  This is just a proof that not all artists are controlled by their team. I respect Lady Gaga more because of her statement.

With or without Lady Gaga, we all know that  Kendrick Lamar‘s album will be successful. What do you think?
